Weekly Round-Up (28/7/14 - 1/8/14) by sF77
Hey what's up guys, this is your weekly round-up!
Let's start off with some gaming news!
EA Announces $5/Month subscription program for the Xbox One titled: EA Access
EA have announced a subscription service exclusive for the Xbox One which will allow gamers access to selected EA games for just $5 a month or $30 a year. Such games as of this article include: Fifa 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4. The reason for this service not being on PS4 is because Sony believes that it doesn't offer good enough value. We'll see what happens to this service throughout the coming weeks.
tl;dr: There is a subscription service for EA games for Xbone.
PC Versions of AC: Unity and Far Cry 4 to be developed by Ubisoft Kiev
Multiple sources have stated that the PC versions of AC: Unity and Far Cry 4 are being developed by Ubisoft Kiev. Ubisoft Kiev are infamous for developing the PC versions of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin's Creed III, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. All of these games listed are known for being unoptimised and having various bugs and other issues. This does not sound good for AC: Unity and FC4. These games are now at risk of being unoptimised and many fans are plotting to boycott Ubisoft for mistreating PC gamers, especially after Watch Dogs turning out to be a heavily unoptimised PC port of what was going to be a PC exclusive. Right now it's probably not the best idea to pre-order these games for PC.
tl;dr: ACU and and FC4's PC versions are being developed by people who suck at making PC games.
$30 Halo-Themed Office Mouse has been announced by Microsoft
Microsoft have announced a limited edition version of their 'Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500' which has the Halo logo and a picture of Master Chief on it. Here's what it looks like:
Well it's not the Halo Master Chief Collection but soon we may end up with the Halo Office Collection. To a lot of people this is seen as a screw you to PC gamers by Microsoft by saying that they'd rather sell a cheap laptop mouse instead of a new Halo on PC. The mouse is set to release in October this year.
That's all for interesting gaming news! Now for some entertainment news!
Test footage for the unannounced Deadpool movie has been leaked!
Test footage for an unannounced Deadpool movie has surfaced on the web right after Comic-Con. This CGI rendered video was made back in 2011 back when Marvel were still pitching the movie. Here's the link to see the footage (https://www.break.com/video/deadpool-test-footage-2742882). Overall it is really exciting and we'll see if this project will ever see the light of day. But judging the fact that it pretty much went viral, it would be silly if this wasn't made into a full movie.
tl;dr: Here the link (https://www.break.com/video/deadpool-test-footage-2742882). Go watch it!
